Heat and stress-strain condition of embankment in culvert zone on permafrost

Abstract

New classification of permafrost-affected zones in geotechnical system “Embankment - culvert - foundation” based on research of heat and stress-strain condition of embankment with culvert is suggested. Zones can be classified as: «intact permafrost», «frozen pillar», «frozen ditch», «frozen joist» and «frozen arc».
