Abstract. High-speed diagnostic systems are being widely implemented on the Russian railway network. They carry out ultrasonic testing of rails at speeds from 10 to 120 km/h. In such a wide range of scanning speeds, the conditions of ultrasound testing change significantly. There are practically no effective methods for checking the technical characteristics of flaw detection equipment. In this article, a method of rapid verification of the operability (efficiency) of rail testing systems is proposed. It allows you to determine the limit control speed for different sections of the track, taking into account their state.

Abstract. The article is devoted to the issue of organizing the maintenance of the track at the high-density heavy traffic lines of the Russian railways network. The relevance of the study has been substantiated and the main features of high-density heavy traffic lines responsible for the need for a special system of their maintenance are given.

The issues of determining the total productive time for maintenance are considered and recommendations for their implementation at the high-density heavy traffic lines are given. Particularly the problem of performing preventative measures of the track deteriorations on such lines is highlighted, taking into account statistical data, and predictive models of track condition with and without taking into account preventive alignments are proposed.

The results of the statistical analysis of the data characterizing the time expenditure on the occurrence of incidents are presented, and the measures for increasing the possible capacity of track alignment are considered.

Abstract. A calculation model is presented to assess the effect of track subsidence on the stress level in the rails. The result of the calculation of the influence of the state of the track on the vertical dynamics in the «wheel—rail» system is given. The maximum permissible values of the rail defect according to code 21 are determined in the presence of deviations in the profile in the form of drawdowns.

Abstract. Modern tendencies for designing and development of a railway system should take into account the development of technologies both in the designing and current maintenance of railway. The article researches the movement of rolling stock along current railroad curves in one of the parts of the Sverdlovsk railway, where was the imposition of the transition curve on the vertical curve in the profile according to the plan during the process of operation. Thus, «spatial» curve was formed. The article analyzes «spatial» curve influence on the rolling stock and forces both in the «wheel-rail» interaction and in inter-car spaces. Moreover, there are arguments given in favor of dropping the restrictions on the prohibition of designing combined transition and vertical curves.
